Yekaterinburg - Yekaterinburg Arena

The Yekaterinburg Arena is an oldie but a goodie. Built back in 1953 as the home ground for FC Ural, its interior has been refurbished on several occasions, most recently in honour of its selection for the world cup. Though a roof and temporary stands have been installed for the world cup, the stadium’s historic façade remains untouched. Look out for sculptures and other architectural details reminiscent of the Soviet era.
