Day 1
Ulan Bator
Meet your guide and driver either at the airport or the train station. Once introduced, you will head west towards the HS Khaan Hotel Resort, a short drive away. The hotel resort is located on a hill overlooking vast emerald green valley where the Naadam Festival horse racing event takes place in July. Its sweeping views are a great introduction to this giant land. Accommodations are modified Mongolian traditional dwelling - a ‘ger’ - with all the mod cons and a huge window which has an unobstructed view of the surrounding area. Bring your camera! (L/D)
Upon your arrival at either the airport or train station, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and driver. From there, your journey will take you to the HS Khaan Hotel Resort located to the west, just a short drive away. This charming resort sits atop a hill, providing panoramic views of a vast emerald green valley, which is where the Naadam Festival's horse racing event unfolds in July. The sweeping vistas from here offer an excellent introduction to the vast expanse of this magnificent land.

For your accommodations, you'll stay in a modified Mongolian traditional dwelling known as a 'ger.' These gers are equipped with all the modern conveniences, ensuring your comfort during your stay. Notably, each ger features a large window that offers an unobstructed view of the surrounding area, making it a perfect spot for capturing memorable moments with your camera. (L/D)
Day 2
Ulan Bator - Dalanzadgad - Khongor Els Sand Dunes
After a breakfast at the hotel resort we will drive to the airport for your domestic flight to Gobi. Upon arrival we will set off for the magical Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes that stretch for 180 km at the foot of the beautiful Gurvan Saikhan (Three beauties of the Gobi) Mountain Range. Have lunch upon arrival at Gobi-Erdene camp. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at this comfortable ger camp. Driving distance – 260 km (160 miles). (B/L/D)
Following a delightful breakfast at the hotel resort, we will make our way to the airport for your domestic flight to the Gobi region. Upon landing, our adventure begins with a journey to the enchanting Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes, an extraordinary stretch of dunes that extends for 180 kilometers at the base of the stunning Gurvan Saikhan, known as the "Three Beauties of the Gobi" Mountain Range. Upon arriving at Gobi-Erdene camp, a delicious lunch will be served. You can look forward to a satisfying dinner and a comfortable night's rest at this ger camp. Our day's drive will cover a distance of approximately 260 kilometers (160 miles). (B/L/D)
Day 3
Yol Valley
We will have breakfast at the ger camp and drive on to the Yol Valley to embark on a full day excursion to the Yol Valley National Park, which will mean scenic hiking and an opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape. Enjoy an alfresco picnic lunch at the park. We will either spend the afternoon hiking or relaxing. Overnight stay in a luxury ger camp. Driving distance – 220 km (135 miles). (B/L/D)
After a hearty breakfast at the ger camp, we'll continue our journey to the Yol Valley, where we'll partake in a full day excursion within the captivating Yol Valley National Park. This adventure promises scenic hiking opportunities and the chance to capture the breathtaking landscape through photography. Amidst the natural beauty, we'll relish an alfresco picnic lunch in the park. In the afternoon, you can choose to either continue hiking or simply relax, taking in the serenity of this remarkable place. Your overnight accommodation will be in a luxurious ger camp. Our day's drive will cover a distance of approximately 220 kilometers (135 miles). (B/L/D)
Day 4
Bayanzag
After breakfast at the camp, it will be time to explore the world famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), home to dinosaur fossils and dinosaur eggs. This unique site put Mongolia on the map in terms of explorers and we will follow in the footsteps of the world-famous paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews. Later, we will visit a local family of camel breeders and enjoy the traditional hospitality of Mongolian nomads. We will also get to go on a short camel ride. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a comfortable ger camp near Flaming Cliffs. Driving distance – 90 km (55 miles). (B/L/D)
Following a satisfying breakfast at the camp, we will set out to explore the renowned Flaming Cliffs, also known as Bayanzag. This area is famous for its dinosaur fossils and dinosaur eggs, and it played a pivotal role in putting Mongolia on the map for explorers and paleontologists. During our visit, we will follow in the footsteps of the world-renowned paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews, delving into the fascinating history of this unique site. Later in the day, we will have the opportunity to visit a local family of camel breeders, immersing ourselves in the traditional hospitality of Mongolian nomads. To add to the adventure, you can enjoy a short camel ride, experiencing a taste of nomadic life. We'll conclude the day with a dinner and spend the night in a comfortable ger camp located near the Flaming Cliffs. The day's drive will cover a distance of approximately 90 kilometers (55 miles). Day 5
Dalanzadgad - Ulan Bator - Terelj
After breakfast we will drive to Dalanzadgad for our domestic flight to Ulan Bator. Upon arrival we will make a brief transfer to Terelj National Park located 80 km north-east from the capital where we will enjoy the scenery of the park. Our tour will include a visit to the unusual Turtle Rock and we will saddle up for some horse riding. Overnight stay at luxury five star Terelj Hotel. Driving distance – 120 km (75 miles). (B/L/D)
Following breakfast, we'll journey to Dalanzadgad to catch our domestic flight back to Ulan Bator. Upon arriving in the capital, we'll make a brief transfer to Terelj National Park, situated 80 kilometers northeast of the city. Here, we'll immerse ourselves in the park's picturesque landscapes. Our tour of the park will encompass a visit to the distinctive Turtle Rock, and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy some horseback riding. Our overnight stay will be at the luxurious five-star Terelj Hotel, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience. The day's drive will cover a distance of approximately 120 kilometers (75 miles). (B/L/D)
Day 6
Ulan Bator
After breakfast, we will set out on a full day city tour that will take in Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum, Zaisan Hill, Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum followed by a shopping experience at the State department Store and Gobi Cashmere Factory Store after lunch. Later, we will enjoy a farewell dinner in a special restaurant which benefits from a panoramic view of the capital city. Spend the night at a five star hotel. (B/L/D)
After a delicious breakfast, our day will be dedicated to a full city tour that will provide a comprehensive exploration of Ulan Bator. Our itinerary will include visits to iconic landmarks such as Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum, Zaisan Hill, and the Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum. Following these cultural experiences, we'll enjoy a shopping excursion at the State Department Store and the Gobi Cashmere Factory Store after a satisfying lunch. In the evening, we'll come together for a memorable farewell dinner at a special restaurant that offers a panoramic view of the capital city, making for a picturesque and fitting end to your journey. Breakfast at the hotel. Our driver will meet you at the hotel lobby. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home. (B).
