Victory Day in Moscow (CB-38)
Victory Day in Moscow (CB-38)
Moscow is a fascinating destination at any time of year, but this exclusive six-day tour offers a unique chance to experience the city during its most significant national holiday—Victory Day. This solemn yet grand occasion pays tribute to those who defended the Motherland, commemorating the immense sacrifice of over 20 million Soviet citizens during World War II. The atmosphere in Moscow during this time is truly unforgettable, filled with deep patriotism, remembrance, and celebration.

A highlight of Victory Day is the traditional military parade, a spectacle that dates back to Soviet times. This impressive display showcases various branches of the armed forces, military hardware, and an awe-inspiring aviation flyover, symbolizing Russia’s strength and honoring its history.

Beyond the Victory Day celebrations, you’ll have ample time to immerse yourself in Moscow’s rich culture and heritage. Explore iconic sites such as Red Square and the Kremlin, enjoy a scenic cruise along the Moskva River, and visit a museum dedicated to the heroes of the war.

Important Note: Your accommodation is at the five-star Hotel National, a historic landmark designed by Russian architect Alexander Ivanov in 1903. Once part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, the hotel is now independently operated. On Victory Day, Red Square is strictly reserved for veterans and government officials, and public access is restricted. This tour provides the best available vantage point to witness the parade columns as they make their way to Red Square. While you cannot access the square itself, you can watch the procession from the hotel’s public areas, including its restaurant, which offers a direct view of the main street. You may also choose to step outside to view the parade from the street, but access to this area is subject to security restrictions. For an enhanced experience, you have the option to upgrade to a room with a street-facing view.
